Sorawit Songsataya

Sorawit Songsataya’s practice explores dynamic interrelations within the natural world, drawing from the complex belief systems of the artist’s home countries, Thailand and Aotearoa New Zealand. Using 3D animation, installation, sculpture and sound, their practice navigates the politics of place, positionality and ideas associated with multiple cultural narratives.

Bottleneck departs from works in the exhibition Off the Coast of San Diego,
displayed last year at Robert Heald Gallery in Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand.
