an almost impossible cottage

Various artists, various collections
3 December 2024 – 15 January 2025

an almost impossible cottage is an assemblage of artworks, objects and ephemera collected from residents of Limerick city, displayed in the windows. Following a period of conversations, home visits and submissions, the project borrows held and cherished pieces from various members of the public – offering an alternative art history and city collection that speaks to value placed through personal narrative and sentiment. Anchored by a number of works from contemporary artists, students, friends and family members, the collection is threaded and bound by many curious and slight objects which speak on the departed, lost and transformed.
